The quality of our ale has been accredited with a Cask Marque Award, this is to show excellence in cellar management and ale quality. If you are only going to have one drink in The Royal Standard, then we should offer you a good choice of pint.

Real Ale

Copper Ale - 3.7% abv

A fruity, hoppy, session ale brewed using the finest English malted barley and golding hops.

Palmers Best Bitter (IPA) - 4.2% abv

A full drinking, well balanced beer with a delicious hop character.

Dorset Gold - 4.5% abv

A truly golden premium ale, refreshing and thirst quenching, full, fruity and lightly hopped with Kent goldings.

Palmers 200 Premium Ale - 5.0% abv

Brewed for the first time in March 1994 to celebrate 200 years of brewing at Bridport. The palette of the beer is complex, a finely balanced blend of malt, hops and quenching citric fruitiness from the yeast.

Palmers Tally Ho! Strong Dark Ale - 5.5% abv

A strong nutty full strength dark beer that delivers a deep, distinctive and long lasting taste. This beer has long attracted a cult following among real ale connoisseurs. It is a cask conditioned beer with a difference.
